Willie the Giant – In a long shot showcasing modern-day Hollywood while Chip and Dale set out to investigate in their human car, I’m fairly certain that the giant creature walking through the crosswalk is Willie the Giant from Mickey and the Beanstalk.While the cheap joke here is that they are both donuts working with cops and detectives, they also serve as a moment for viewers to point at the screen with gleeful recognition. Duncan and Winchell – One of my personal favorite jokes from Wreck-It Ralph, Duncan and Winchell, King Candy’s anthropomorphic donut guards from that film, appear alongside Detective Putty investigating the disappearance of Monty.It could stand to reason that Chip and Dale know them from their early animation days, but in this story universe, Chip and Dale never made the earlier cartoons, having only met each other in the early 80s. Three Little Pigs – Also at the same party, we find Fiddler, Pfifer, and Practical Pig (AKA The Three Little Pigs) cutting a rug on the dance floor.The list I have here is just a handful of characters I spotted throughout the film that don’t speak, are a quick glimpse, or even appear in the background of a crowd scene. Chip ‘N’ Dale: Rescue Rangers has TONS of characters from many different and beloved franchises populated throughout, many of which are mentioned specifically by name or have some sort of speaking role to make sure that viewers acknowledge them. Also, be aware that as I point out where to find some things, I get specific as to where they all happen throughout the film so consider this a SPOILER ALERT.įirst, let’s start off with all those characters that make cameos throughout the movie. Heck, I might even add to this list after I watch the film more! The film is fantastic and I will probably watch it numerous times. While I’m sure there are enough things to find upon later viewings, this is just a list of some of what I found on the first go-round. Almost every wide shot had something hiding in it, and the cartoon buff in me was also incredibly pleased by the amount of character appearances that aren’t even called to attention. With the release of Chip ‘N’ Dale: Rescue Rangers on Disney+, I knew there’d be tons of little hidden fun and easter eggs hidden throughout, but I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of these things.
